These pictures were shot by Sara Monk on the day Southend was invaded by the British Army.
These men, boys even, have been to Afghanistan and some have spoken with Mrs Monk, who reports that they and have expressed pride in what they have achieved, and what they expect to do again when they return, which they are keen to do.
