Leigh On Sea and The Chocolate Moon

This movie comprises of Mrs Monk's photographic record of Leigh on Sea 2008.

I have also added a tribute to Mrs Monk whose passion for the unexpected, can sometimes go too far. This is described by an illustrated poem about an imponderable event: a Lunar Eclipse, 4 Mar 2007, as follows ..........

"Wake up Monk, You have to come and see the moon. There is a lunar eclipse"

"No", I said, "I'm asleep and dreaming of lilacs"

"Get up," she said, "This happens every thousand years. You will never ever get another sight such as this."

"I can live with that," I said.

"Wake Up Monk" she said again and again until I relinquished my dreams.

Soon we were in the middle of our road in bare feet and pyjamas.

Job done, we went back to bed.

Next day we learnt that there would be another eclipse in the autumn.

I wrote this poem the next day during the Liverpool, Barcelona game, which was a magnificent loss by Liverpool, who would go through on the away-goals-rule.
