Pronoun Abuse

Tribal politics can misfire. Cameron was accused of “Polishing Poo” in Parliament yesterday by his own tribe of Tory backbenchers. Apparently this is what passes as parliamentary language these days, particularly if used to denigrate the EU.

The Vulgar Tory Tabloids have turned on him also.

The same tribe of Tory MPs will today be equally rude about Jeremy Corbyn as they always are during Wednesday PMQs.

Tribal politics is so ugly, but particularly when it means our undemocratic democracy is threatened by actual real democracies just beyond Calais.

Cameron is at least consistent with the "better together" message that he and the vulgar Tories supported in the Scottish Independence referendum.

The EU referendum debate is littered with possessive pronouns routinely used to describe "our" values as so particularly worthwhile and "theirs" so appallingly bad.

This is the language of the playground. and will therefore go down well with Vulgar Tories everywhere who do not speak for anything like a majority of the UK electorate.

If the EU would ban the abuse of  pronouns, I would be delighted.
