On the Kitchen Table we have Salt and Roses
From our Garden, An abundant Autumn harvest of sweet red grapes, That Nature gave up like Darwin said it would, And in abundance.
But in the fermenting of the nouveau chateau Monk Nature needed a helping human hand,
To turn the ‘09 fruit t’ wine. we crushed and canned a glass or two of sweet home made grape from our bumper crop, a sober juice for breakfast.
And for dinner, a gentle stroll, as per usual, in pursuit of solace, and Cape Fear, Shiraz, or Cabernet,
Or whatever takes our fancy for less than a fiver. The cluttered shelves of the corner Co Op, consoles on a daily basis.
On the Kitchen Table, we have Salt and Roses.
